Prof. (Dr.) Akshay Bhargava is a distinguished academician, prosthodontist, implantologist, and institutional leader, currently serving as the Dean of Santosh Dental College & Hospital, Santosh Deemed to be University. Guided by the philosophy “Excellence is not a skill, it is an attitude,” he is widely recognized for his contributions to dental education, research, and clinical innovation.
He holds BDS and MDS degrees and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Integrated Implantology. His international credentials include Associate Fellow, American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AFAAID), Diplomate and Fellow, International Congress of Oral Implantologists (DICOI, FICOI), and Fellow, International College of Dentists (FICD), USA. He also served as a Scientist with DRDO, reflecting his strong research background.
A former President of the Indian Prosthodontic Society (2020–2021), Prof. Bhargava has guided 100+ postgraduate dissertations, contributed as a section editor for the Journal of Indian Prosthodontic Society, and served as a peer reviewer for international journals for over a decade.
He established the first 3D Printing Laboratory for Dentistry in North India, organized 50+ national and international workshops, and is a renowned motivational speaker and clinician. With a strong research profile (H-index: 16, i10-index: 19), multiple patents in process, and contributions to highly cited dental textbooks, he continues to shape the future of prosthodontics and implantology through leadership, innovation, and academic excellence.
